Inverters are components that take stored 12 volt battery power DC and convert that power to 120 Volts AC to enable household appliances requiring a household outlet. These outlets are typically used to charge electronic devices as well as power small household appliances. A 1200 watt inverter can power devices up to 10 amps or 1200 watts. A 3000 watt inverter can power multiple devices simultaneously up to 25 amps. Typically, these are momentary use appliances. Devices that are expected to provide continuous use will be powered for only as long as the battery bank’s stored power has not been consumed.
